I had bought a Hamilton brand collar for my Lab mix dog a few years ago, and it is a very nice sturdy collar. I kept the collar after he passed away earlier this year (to remember him). I was so happy that I could get one for my 6 month old Mini Poodle puppy Beau, this is just my opinion but I hate plastic buckles on a dog collar even for a small dog like mine. I did have to punch a hole in it, because I purposely got it a little big so he could grow into it. Other than that it is perfect, sturdy, fits well and looks really nice on him.UPDATE 8-17-20I still love this collar, Beau is almost 10months old now and just about done growing. The collar still fits him really well and looks so nice, I hope he’ll be able to wear it for a long time.

Just received this nice black nylon dog collar for our lab/collie puppy. Looks to be well made and should last a good while. Since we measured his neck at 12″ with the two fingers extra space, we ordered the 16″ collar which refers to the overall length. Fits him perfectly with a notch or two for growing room. Probably will reorder a larger size in a couple months or so. The price is right to keep up with his growing!

Before purchasing 5/8 inch buckle collar, I did read all the negative reviews. Everyone complained that the stated size is incorrect. The product information does state and show the collars are measured from the buckle to the end of the material. In my case, 12 inches is the ENTIRE length of collar.The measurements that should have been stated are from the buckle side material (buckle length not included) all the way to the farthest hole (9 1/2 in.), to the middle hole (8 1/2 in), and the closest hole (7.5 in.). With my measuring tape the circumference (collar buckled at the last hole), is roughly 10 inches.I took a risk buying the collar. It does “fit” my miniature dachshunds (both 10 lbs. with a neck length of 9.5 inches). It doesn’t fit my other 10 pounder with a neck length of 10.75. It can be buckled, however, the collar is snug and all the way up behind the ears. Very uncomfortable. I only paid $4.88 for the black buckle collar. Next time, I’m going to size up to the 14 inch. That seems like the appropriate size for mini dachshunds.I gave 3 stars because the product description is misleading in sizing. Otherwise, solid material not cheaply made.Update: August 9, 2020I love these durable collars. The sizing is off by 2-3 inches too small. I’ve bought several 12 inch (orange, lime green, and black), 14 inch, 20 inch (red), and 22 inch (purple) collars.I just ordered a 14 inch Wine colored collar. What I received is a 12 inch purple. Too small for the dog I bought it for. Not happy that they sent the wrong item. Item is last picture.

My Chihuahua needed a new collar. I wanted a soft nylon instead of a stiff leather one so it would be more comfortable for her around her neck. Love that I found this hot pink one. It looks adorable on her and fits great! Just a tip….I always use a halter when walking my Chihuahuas. They have very sensitive necks and a halter for walks is much safer for them than a collar.

I love this collar. The color is bright and the material is sturdy. I like that there is a ring for tags and a ring for a leash which is something I never saw before. My only complaint is that the color bleeds onto my dogs (white) fur. If I could go back in time I would wash it a few times before putting it on him.

The best thing I like about these collars is that they come in specific sizes and since my dogs are on the smaller size they are lighter weight than the ones that have the buckle that are adjustable. They are still sturdy enough to put a leash on for short walks and don’t get in the way when we put harness on for long walks. They are hard to find in the stores especially in the size we need (16). Received them quickly and they were perfect for us.

I like the quality of this collar – the color is true to picture and it is very sturdy with nice hardware and stitching – the only thing that keeps me from giving it 5 stars is that I wish it was just a tad longer and had 5 holes instead of 3 – my dog’s neck measures 12″ and I got the 14″ collar and it has to be on the last hole to fit with the 2 finger rule.

These are great basic collars in a variety of colors. I bought the size 12 in light purple for my 6 lb poodle and it fits perfect without measuring!! I also got a size 16 in Teal for my 20 lb St Bernard puppy but I now have to buy a larger size because he is growing so fast (Probably go for a size 20 now that he is 30 lbs). I also got the matching Teal colored leash. Thankfully these are a great price 🙂 I like that they don’t have a plastic clip to secure it. The clips seem like they could crack or break whereas the holes seem more secure.
